Definitely your MacBook’s background photo/picture is one of the first things you see when you open your device. Why not make it something that inspires you, whether you are looking to display a serene landscape, a favorite family photo, or a motivational quote, changing your MacBook’s background photo/picture is a simple way to personalize your workspace and below is a step-by-step guide to help you update your desktop background photo/picture with ease as follows;

STEP 1 - Click on “System Preferences” (which can be found in “Launchpad”, “Dock” or by clicking on the Apple logo icon at the top left of your MacBook screen display) which should open a “System Preferences” window as seen from the screenshot below;

STEP 2 - Check for “Desktop & Screen Saver” icon and click on it which should open the “Desktop & Screen Saver” window as seen from the screenshot below;

STEP 4 - When you settle on the background photo/picture that you want, just click on it and the changes will take effect automatically (personally I will go for “Catalina Clouds” from the Apple’s gallery) as seen from the screenshot below;

STEP 5 - Close the “Desktop & Screen Saver” window and that is it, your MacBook’s background photo/picture preference will now be your display as you can see mine is, from the screenshot below;
